How btrd collects, uses, and protects app data.

btrd is operated by AeroSmooth Labs LLC. This policy describes the information used to provide the app and how to contact us.

Information we may collect

  • Account information: username, internal user ID, Sign in with Apple identifier, aircraft category, and Group activity. btrd does not request your Apple name or email address.
  • Landing session information: landing scores, ratings, touchdown metrics, timestamps, aircraft type, airport/context selections, confidence indicators, and share/report metadata.
  • Motion and device data: sensor samples used to detect touchdown and calculate landing review data. This may include acceleration/orientation-style readings during a landing session.
  • Location and airport context: precise location used to suggest nearby airports, plus the airport and weather context attached to a landing.
  • Support information: messages, screenshots, logs, and details you send when requesting help or reporting a problem.

How we use information

  • Provide landing scoring, result history, profiles, groups, leaderboards, and app functionality.
  • Improve touchdown detection, scoring, reliability, and user experience.
  • Respond to support requests and privacy requests.
  • Protect the service from abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain security.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use hosting and infrastructure providers to operate btrd and may disclose information when required by law or at your direction.

Public and shared features

Your username and visible landing details may appear in Ranks, Groups, or landing cards when you use those features.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while it is needed to provide btrd, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. To request deletion, email [email protected] with your btrd username. We may verify account ownership before processing the request.

Children

btrd is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
