btrd is operated by AeroSmooth Labs LLC. btrd is a landing-score app for pilots and simulator users. This policy describes the information we may collect, how it is used, and how to contact us.

Information we may collect

• Account information: username, email address, profile details, group/community activity, and authentication-related identifiers.
• Landing session information: landing scores, ratings, touchdown metrics, timestamps, aircraft type, airport/context selections, confidence indicators, and share/report metadata.
• Motion and device data: sensor samples used to detect touchdown and calculate landing review data. This may include acceleration/orientation-style readings during a landing session.
• Location and airport context: approximate location or selected/nearby airport information when you use features that need airport confirmation, weather context, or landing history.
• Support information: messages, screenshots, logs, and details you send when requesting help or reporting a problem.

How we use information

• Provide landing scoring, result history, profiles, groups, leaderboards, and app functionality.
• Improve touchdown detection, scoring, reliability, and user experience.
• Respond to support requests and privacy requests.
• Protect the service from abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain security.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, hosting, analytics, email/support, and infrastructure. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your direction.

Public and shared features

If you use profiles, groups, leaderboards, or sharing features, parts of your landing result or display identity may be visible to other users according to the feature you use. Avoid sharing anything you do not want others to see.

Safety and aviation scope

btrd is not a flight instrument and is not for operational decision-making. It is designed as a post-flight review and entertainment/training-adjacent tool. Always prioritize safe aircraft operation and instruction.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information as needed to provide the app, improve the product, comply with obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of account-related data by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify account ownership before processing a request.

Children

btrd is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
